The Lapland Military Band and the Band’s brass septet and wind quintet, conductor Juhani Valtasalmi

In October, the Lapland Military Band stands guard, with brasses blowing new life and introducing new innovations to the rich tradition of Finnish brass music. Creativity of the new composer generation gives wings to the symphonic brass band’s colourful and intense sound. Before the concert, composer Seppo Torvikoski tells the audience how a trumpeter became a composer. Kimmo Pihlajamaa interviews.
