11-15 November Chamber Music Week

Free entry, programme 5 euros.

During the Chamber Music Week, the Lapland Military Band’s versatile small ensembles give concerts around Rovaniemi (visiting Tervola, too). The week begins with the  brass quintet’s,  the French horn trio’s and the clarinet quartet’s short, entertaining pop-up gigs in shopping centres. In concerts at the end of the week, ensembles  are more traditional:  the classical woodwind quintet and the quintessentially Finnish brass septet.  In small ensembles, orchestra musicians  can stand in the spotlight. On Wednesday, we offer soloists accompanied by piano. This concert takes place in the intimate Tavivaara Chapel. The Week will certainly suit a wide range of musical tastes. Access is free-of-charge.
