MILjazz 2025: Turku

The Finnish Defence Forces’ energetic MILjazz tour arrives this year on 16 June in Turku’s Forum Marinum and brings summer with it again! The no-cost, feel-good outdoor event will offer its listeners upbeat music and an authentic festival atmosphere.

Before the music performances, the audience will have the opportunity to visit the Defence Forces exhibition area, where the Coastal Fleet’s mine container and sea mines will be on display together with Pori Brigade’s military vehicle. There is also a Navy ship located along the Aura River, but no public visits inside will be organised. The event will also provide an opportunity to learn about the conscript service, women’s voluntary military service and the Defence Forces as an employer.

The equipment exhibition and demonstration areas will be open from 14:00 to 18:00. The Soldiers’ Home will be serving throughout the event.

The concert part starts at 18:00 and continues until about 21:30. In Turku, the stage will first be taken over by the Navy’s Small Entertainment Orchestra together with the vocal group We Love Vocals. Accompanied by an 11-member ensemble, the trio of three stunning vocalists will perform both summer classics and more recent hits, offering a unique experience for the MILjazz audience. In all MILjazz cities, the Air Force Big Band will take to the stage to entertain the audience with the brilliant Iina Salin as soloist. The evening will be crowned by the Conscript Band’s Showband, whose energetic performances captivate audiences year after year.

Arrival: The event area can be reached from city centre by bus number 1. Those arriving by car can park along the street, in the Harppuunaparkki park hall or in the parking lots of the harbour. The Forum Marinum parking area is not in use.
