The Navy Band celebrates the National Veterans’ Day with a concert featuring Finnish entertainment and patriotic music. The concert’s soloist is the versatile singer Maria Tyyster, also known as a Tango Queen.

National Veterans’ Day in Finland is a holiday and an official flag-raising day celebrated on April 27th in honor of the veterans of Finland’s wars. The day is observed to honor Finnish war veterans and to commemorate the end of the war and the beginning of peace. The date marks the end of the Lapland War. The theme for 2026, Moving Forward Together, is a call to remember, understand, and build — together.

The concert is organized in collaboration with the City of Turku.
