The Wind Instrument Days will be opened ceremonially on Saturday, 14 March 2026, when one of the event’s main performers – the Navy Band – takes the stage at the Promenade Hall. The orchestra is conducted by Jarkko Aaltonen. Pianist Ville Hautakangas performs as the soloist, presenting the world premiere of the new edition of Petri Nieminen’s piano concerto.
