The World in Melodies concert offers listeners melodic and harmonic wind orchestra music from different parts of the world. Expect both beautiful atmospheres and explosive energy, which only the unique sound of a wind orchestra can deliver. The concert will be conducted by Warrant Officer Olli Palomäki. This concert is part of Palomäki’s bachelor’s degree studies in orchestra conducting. The tuba soloist for the concert is Warrant Officer Lauri Huotarinen, the soloist for brass instruments in the Dragoon Band. The program also features the world premiere of Palomäki’s composition Quest of Glory.
