MILjazz 2025: Lahti

The Finnish Defence Forces’ energetic MILjazz tour arrives this year on 13 June in Lahti’s Pikku-Vesijärvi Park and brings summer with it again! The no-cost, feel-good outdoor event will offer its listeners upbeat music and an authentic festival atmosphere.

Before the music performances, the audience will have the opportunity to visit the Defence Forces exhibition area, featuring equipment from the Armoured Brigade. There is also a national defence village, where voluntary national defence actors, such as the National Defence Training Association and other authorities present their activities at their own exhibition stands.

The equipment exhibition and demonstration areas will be open from 17:00. The Soldiers’ Home will serve in three different locations between 17:00 and 22:00.

The concert part starts at 18:00 and continues until about 21:30. In Lahti, the first performer will be Die Big Band der Bundeswehr of the German Armed Forces, playing captivating instrumental jazz music. In all MILjazz cities, the Air Force Big Band will take to the stage to entertain the audience with the brilliant Iina Salin as soloist. The evening will be crowned by the Conscript Band’s Showband, whose energetic performances captivate audiences year after year.

Address: The park is located between Satamaradanpolu, Kariniemenkatu and Jalkarannantie.

Arrival: The audience is encouraged to arrive by foot, as there is no public parking in the event area. The area is located within walking distance of Lahti city centre.
