MILjazz 2025: Mikkeli

The Finnish Defence Forces’ energetic MILjazz tour arrives this year on 6 June in Mikkeli’s Tykkipuisto and brings summer with it again! The no-cost, feel-good outdoor event will offer its listeners upbeat music and an authentic festival atmosphere.

Concert schedule:

18:00 The Dragoon Big Band
19:10 The Air Force Big Band & Iina Salin
20:20 The Conscript Band’s Showband

Before the music performances, the audience will have the opportunity to visit the Defence Forces exhibition area, where combat equipment and vehicles will be on display. The event will also provide an opportunity to learn about the conscript service, women’s voluntary military service and the Defence Forces as an employer.

The equipment exhibition and demonstration areas will be open from 16:00. The Soldiers’ Home will also be present during the event.

The concert part starts at 18:00 and continues until about 21:30. In Mikkeli, the first to take to the stage will be the Dragoon Big Band, whose music will take the audience on a diverse journey, mixing jazz, rock and classical compositions. In all MILjazz cities, the Air Force Big Band will take to the stage to entertain the audience with the brilliant Iina Salin as soloist. The evening will be crowned by the Conscript Band’s Showband, whose energetic performances captivate audiences year after year.
